Quelle (très mauvaise) surprise, ce premier mai 2026, en ouvrant mes emails : un message de Facebook/Meta m’annonçe la suspension définitive de mon compte.
Motif invoqué ? « Votre compte, ou l’activité sur celui-ci, ne respecte pas nos Standards de la communauté sur la sexualisation d’enfants. »
Sexualisation d’enfants!
Après plus de 40 ans dans l’éducation, vous imaginez l’effet de cette accusation sur moi…
J’ai immédiatement fait appel.
Réponse : « Votre compte a été désactivé définitivement. Vous ne pouvez pas demander d’autre examen. »
Mes dernières publications mettant en scène des enfants ?
Des illustrations IA pour des contes écrits par mes élèves (celles qui illustrent ce billet).
J’y cherche encore la fameuse « sexualisation »…
En vain.
Je me suis dit : « Bon, ce n’est pas si grave. Même si ce compte contient 17 ans de ma vie, mes photos, mes anecdotes… Je retrouverai tout sur ma Page EGS Photography ou sur mes comptes Instagram. »
Erreur!
Meta a lié tous mes comptes.
Résultat : mes profils Instagram (egs75paris, egsphotographer) et Threads ont été définitivement bloqués dans la foulée.
Rayés de la carte.
Sans recours.
« Vous ne pouvez pas demander d’autre examen. »
Ce qui me rassure un peu ?
Ceux qui me suivent savent que je n’ai jamais publié de contenu pédophile.
Jamais.
Mais au-delà de la perte de mes contacts, de ma visibilité… c’est l’accusation qui me frappe.
Je me sens sali, et l’impuissance que m’impose Meta est insupportable.
Voilà pour ma réaction à chaud. Peut-être y reviendrai-je plus tard.

What a (terrible) shock on May 1, 2026, when I opened my emails: a message from Facebook/Meta announcing the permanent suspension of my account.
The reason given? "Your account, or the activity on it, does not comply with our Community Standards on the sexualization of children."
Sexualization of children!
After over 40 years in education, you can imagine the impact of this accusation on me...
I immediately appealed.
The response? "Your account has been permanently disabled. You cannot request another review."
My most recent posts featuring children?
AI-generated illustrations for fairy tales written by my students (the same ones illustrating this post).
I’m still searching for this so-called "sexualization"...
In vain.
I told myself: "Okay, it’s not the end of the world. Even if this account holds 17 years of my life—my photos, my anecdotes—I’ll still have everything on my EGS Photography Page or my Instagram accounts."
Wrong.
Meta had linked all my accounts.
Result: my Instagram profiles (egs75paris, egsphotographer) and Threads were permanently blocked in one fell swoop.
Wiped off the map.
No recourse.
"You cannot request another review."
What slightly reassures me?
Those who follow me know I’ve never posted pedophilic content.
Never.
But beyond losing my contacts, my visibility... it’s the accusation itself that hits hardest.
I feel tainted, and the helplessness Meta forces on me is unbearable.
That’s my immediate reaction. Maybe I’ll revisit this later.
