Si vous avez suivi mes "aventures" depuis le 1er mai 2026, vous savez que Meta m'a -presque- définitivement invisibilisé en bloquant mon compte Facebook (+500 amis), ma page Facebook EGS Photography associée (+600 followers), ma page EGS Music elle aussi associée, mon compte Instagram de tous les jours (egs75paris, 800 followers), mon compte Instagram EGS Photographer, et curieusement pas mon compte Instagram EGS Music (que j'utilise très peu).

Bref, le 1er mai 2026, pour une raison invoquée par Meta  de "sexualisation d'enfants", le "géant" m'a presque totalement invisibilisé... Je précise que je n'ai jamais posté de contenu pédopornagraphique, ni de loin, ni de près, ni interagi, sur aucun de mes comptes, avec des mineurs. Je resterai donc, puisque Meta m'a informé que ma demande de reconsidérer sa position était rejetée "de façon définitive", dans l'ignorance totale de ce qui a motivé cette décision radicale. Je précise aussi, parce que le motif invoqué m'impacte psychologiquement beaucoup, que depuis 2009, date de création de ces comptes sociaux, rien de tel ne m'a jamais été reproché, et pour cause! Serais-je devenu, du jour au lendemain, et sans même en avoir conscience, un prédateur sexuel???

Le cadre étant (re)posé, ce qui me mine le plus est la perte de contact avec mes amis asiatiques, qui vont penser que je les ai bloqués...et qui n'ont même pas l'opportunité de me demander pourquoi.

J'ai donc pris la décision, même si je me serais joyeusement détaché de "Meta", et parce qu'un photographe sans compte Instagram, c'est un photographe invisible, de recréer un compte (@egsparisphotography) suivi par, Wouah, 13 personnes! Vous êtes cordialement invité à faire gonfler ce nombre!

Meta Killed Me!

If you’ve been following my “adventures” since May 1, 2026, you’ll know that Meta has—almost—completely erased me from its platforms. They blocked my Facebook account (+500 friends), my associated EGS Photography Facebook Page (+600 followers), my EGS Music Facebook Page, my everyday Instagram account (egs75paris, 800 followers), and my EGS Photographer Instagram account. Oddly enough, they spared my EGS Music Instagram account, which I barely use.

In short, on May 1, 2026, for the alleged reason of “sexualization of children,” the “giant” Meta nearly wiped me off the map entirely. Let me be clear: I have never posted child sexual abuse material, nor have I ever interacted with minors on any of my accounts—directly or indirectly. Since Meta informed me that my appeal was “permanently” rejected, I remain in total ignorance as to what triggered this drastic decision. I should also add—because this accusation weighs heavily on me—that since 2009, when I created these accounts, nothing of the sort has ever been reported. And for good reason! Did I suddenly, without even realizing it, become a sexual predator overnight?

That said, what troubles me the most is losing contact with my Asian friends, who will likely think I’ve blocked them… and won’t even have a chance to ask why.

So, even though I’d happily walk away from Meta, and knowing that a photographer without an Instagram account is basically invisible, I’ve decided to create a new account: @egsparisphotography—currently followed by a whopping 13 people! You’re warmly invited to help boost that number.
